DATE: Wednesday, October 26, 2016

TIME:  7 p.m.

LOCATION:  Social Centre, Huntington University (935 Ramsey Lake Road)

TOPIC:  Aging in the Netherlands – paradise lost, or …..?

The Netherlands is currently ranked #6 in the Global AgeWatch 2015 report. The strength and expertise of a new generation of older adults is a new source for maintaining the success. This changed demographic requires the development of new perspectives that are reflective of the change. Older adults should be perceived and act as active stakeholders in their life and within the community as a whole. As important stakeholders, they bear a responsibility in articulating, designing and implementing social innovations, services and products. This asks for a new breed of professionals: Individuals who are experts in aging and co-creation. These professionals may work together with all older adults in maintaining this paradise in transition.

Admission to the event is free, however advance registration is recommended. Guests can RSVP to the event on Eventbrite.ca.

This event is presented by the Gerontology Department at Huntington University in support from Behavioural Supports Ontario.
