Directions for Reaching Huntington University

 

University Road is located off of Ramsey Lake Road, and is the main entrance to Sudbury’s university campus, which includes the four federated universities: Huntington University, Laurentian University, Thorneloe University and University of Sudbury.  

 

  • Take University Road to Manitou Road, and turn right (towards Huntington University, Thorneloe University and University of Sudbury).    

 

  • Huntington University is located on your left.  

 

Parking: Please note that parking at Huntington University is reserved for paid parking pass holders. A pay lot is located directly across the street from Huntington University (parking rate of $6 / machine accepts loonies and toonies only).  There are also Pay and Display machines (Lots B and C) located within a short walking distance to Huntington University. Please refer to the university campus map for more information. 

The Greater Sudbury Transit website includes travel tips for students, as well as a trip planner.    

 

From the downtown terminal, take either Route 3 -(LU via Regent) or Route 4 (LU via Paris/Laurentian University Express) bus.  

 

  • Once the bus reaches Sudbury’s university campus, get out at the 3rd stop located on campus, which is the one after the R. D. Parker Building (the building will be on your left, and is the tallest one on campus) and near West Residence.

 

  • Cross the street and take Manitou Road towards Huntington University, which is located a short walk up the hill and to your left.

 

  • You will first reach the lower lot (parking lot A) first, which brings you to the J.W. Tate Library.

 

  • If you keep going, you will reach the upper lot (parking lot B), which brings you to the main entrance.

Ontario Northland has a flagstop on campus at the bus stop located between the R.D. Parker Building and West Residence.

The Greater Sudbury Airport is located approximately 29 km from Huntington University. When leaving the airport, turn right onto Skead Road. 

 

  • At the stop sign, turn left to stay on Skead Rd/Regional Rd 86 (signs for Regional Road 86/Skead Road/Sudbury/Falconbridge/Garson).

 

  • Turn right onto Regional Rd 86 (signs for Regional Road 86/sudbury).

 

  • Turn right onto Kingsway/Greater Sudbury Regional Road 55 (signs for Regional Road 55/ON-17 W).

 

  • Follow the Kingsway to Paris Street and turn left.  

 

  • Turn left off Paris onto Ramsey Lake Road.  

 

  • The main entrance to Sudbury’s university campus (University Road), which includes Huntington University, Laurentian University, Thorneloe University and University of Sudbury is on the right, 3.6 km past Health Sciences North (located across from Science North).  

 

  • Take University Road to Manitou Road, and turn right (towards Huntington University, Thorneloe University and University of Sudbury).    

 

  • Huntington University is located on your left.
