Huntington University Aiming to Become “The Big Mustache On Campus”

It’s Movember!  In the spirit of civic leadership and friendly competition, Huntington University has its sights set on becoming “The Big Mustache on Campus”.  Last year, more than 18,000 university and college students across Canada took part in the initiative and helped to raise over $1.9 million dollars in support of men’s health.

“I’m encouraging students, faculty, staff and community members to join the Huntington University Movember team and really help us grow awareness and funds for some of the biggest health issues faced by men – prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity,” said Dr. Kevin McCormick, President and Vice-Chancellor of Huntington University.

“Women, or Mo Sistas, have a role to play in Movember too,” stated Christine Catt, Director of University Advancement.  “We all have men in our lives, who we care about very much.  This is an opportunity to raise awareness about important issues in men’s health, to start a conversation about screening, and to raise funds to support research.”
