Huntington University Pledges Donations to Sudbury Food Bank

It’s game day!  As the Toronto Blue Jays prepare to take on Cleveland in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series – this time on home turf at the Rogers Centre – Huntington University is throwing some added incentive their way.

“Recently, we entered into a friendly wager with Cleveland State University pitting our Canadian maple syrup against their famous Bertman Ballpark Mustard,” said Dr. Kevin McCormick, President and Vice-Chancellor of Huntington University.  “Thus far, the series is not playing out in our favour, but I am confident that will all turn around tonight!  Huntington University is also pledging to donate $250 for every Blue Jays home run of the ALCS to the Sudbury Food Bank, just for added incentive.”

“Our thanks to Dr. McCormick and Huntington University for this wonderful opportunity to assist in striking out hunger in our Greater Sudbury once again,” stated Dan Xilon, Executive Director of the Sudbury Food Bank. “Last year, as a result of this initiative, Huntington University generously donated $1,500 to support hunger initiatives in our community.  May the results of the 2016 ALCS be a home run for everyone, including our Blue Jays!”
